Terms of use

Last updated 15 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of WebhookTool at https://webhooktool.com (the "Service"), a tool for receiving and inspecting HTTP requests. "We" and "us" mean the operator of the Service. "Inbox owner" means whoever has an inbox's private link, which gives control of the inbox but not ownership of it. By creating an inbox, sending requests to an inbox URL or otherwise using the Service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service offers you temporary inboxes. Each inbox has a webhook URL that records the HTTP requests sent to it, records DNS lookups of names under it, and a private link that lets you view, configure and delete the inbox. There are no accounts, so whoever has the private link has full control of the inbox. Keep it secret. A lost private link cannot be recovered or replaced.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of the Service and for everything sent to your inboxes. Use the Service lawfully, for purposes such as developing, testing and debugging integrations. You must not:

3. Fair use

The Service has limits that keep it usable for everyone, such as on how many inboxes you can have, how fast inboxes can be created and receive requests, and how much each inbox keeps. They may change at any time. We may block or limit inboxes, IP addresses or networks that exceed them or otherwise disrupt the Service or its users, as described in section 7.

4. Storage and deletion

Inboxes and requests are temporary. An inbox and its requests are deleted when it expires or is destroyed, and a full inbox deletes its oldest requests first. We may delete data earlier, for example when storage runs low or to enforce these terms. We don't restore deleted data, so export anything you want to keep.

5. Content and inboxes

You allow us to receive, store, process and display what is sent to your inboxes as needed to run the Service. You confirm that you have the right to send it to the Service. You get no ownership of the Service, its inboxes or their URLs, only permission to use them under these terms.

6. Reporting illegal content and abuse

Anyone can report an inbox that holds illegal content or breaks these terms, such as one used for phishing or malware, as the contact page describes. We may act on a report as section 7 describes.

7. How we moderate

We enforce these terms at our discretion, with automatic limits and with decisions we take after a report or our own checks. We may restrict or take down inboxes and block networks, for a set time or indefinitely, and may tell the inbox owner why.

We may report anything that suggests a crime to the competent authorities.

8. Availability

The Service is free of charge. We do not guarantee that it is available, fast or error-free, that every request sent to an inbox is recorded, or that data is kept for any minimum period. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.

9. No warranties

The Service is provided as it is and as available. Beyond what the law requires and does not allow us to exclude, we make no promises about it, including that it suits a particular purpose.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, and indirect or consequential damage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

11. Suspension and termination

We may block access, take down inboxes or delete data at any time and without prior notice, in particular if we believe these terms are being broken or the Service or others are at risk. You may stop using the Service at any time and destroy your inboxes to delete their data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms at any time. Changes take effect when they are published here with a new date at the top, and using the Service after that means you accept them.

13. Other provisions

If a provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the others stay in effect. Not enforcing a provision does not waive it. The privacy page describes what the Service stores and why.
